Dr. Riel-Espina is a board-certified specialist in Family and Community Medicine/Primary Care and an expert in public health.
Dr. Riel-Espina obtained her medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine. She is a Fellow of Philippine Academy of Family Physicians and member of World Organization of Family Doctors. She has a Masters in Public Health from the University of the Philippines and a Masters in Hospital Administration from the Asian Development Foundation. She is a member of the Department of Health Family Medicine Council and the Health Professionals Alliance Against COVID (HPAAC).
