Dr. Abes is a board-certified specialist in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, specializing in otology and neuro-otology. He graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He completed his residency in otorhinolaryngology at the Philippine General Hospital. He has a Master of Science degree in Audiovestibular Medicine from The Ear Institute at University College London, United Kingdom. He was a fellow and scientific researcher in neuro-otology and otology at the Department of Neuro-Otology, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery – University College London Hospitals and Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
