Dr. Paul Lawrence C. Filomeno is a distinguished pediatrician and addiction medicine specialist whose clinical practice focuses on substance use, internet gaming, and screen dependency disorders in both children and adults. He holds a Doctor of Medicine, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Public Health, all from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. His extensive training includes a pediatric residency and a clinical fellowship in Addiction and Recovery Medicine at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital. He also serves as a visiting lecturer in pediatrics and pharmacology. Notably, he was a clinical trial investigator for the intranasal COVID-19 vaccine and has authored significant pediatric research, including publications in ACTA Medica Philippina and The Philippine Journal of Pediatrics. As a founding member of several national addiction medicine societies and the NeXT Country Representative for the International Society of Addiction Medicine, Dr. Filomeno is recognized for his pioneering work in the integration of pediatric and addiction medicine.
