Dr. Monteagudo earned her MD-MBA from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health and completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital.
She is a board-certified diplomate of the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians and an advocate for universal health care.
