Dr. Ria Mikhaella C. Panis is a board-certified Rehabilitation Medicine specialist with distinguished academic and clinical accomplishments in rehabilitation medicine and performing arts medicine. A graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, she completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at the Philippine General Hospital Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Her academic journey extends internationally, having completed observerships in the United States at the UNT-HSC Texas Center for Performing Arts Health and NYU Langone Health Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. She consistently ranked among the top in national specialty board examinations, placing 2nd and 4th in successive stages. Dr. Panis is also a founding member of the Performing Arts Medicine Advocates – National Association of the Philippines and has served as a speaker and organizer in various conferences and workshops. Her research contributions in the fields of burn rehabilitation and performing arts medicine have been recognized and presented both locally and internationally. Through her clinical work, education, and research, Dr. Panis continues to advance the integration of rehabilitation medicine and performing arts health in the Philippines.
