Dr. Yao is a board-certified ophthalmologist, specializing in cornea and refractive surgery. He is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the Philippine General Hospital and his fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the Asian Eye Institute. He is a fellow of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology.
